before departure, we were annoyed because of the early bird flight (7:45am on May 15)~ I was joking that we would meet Korean stars easily at this timeslot
When I was wandering with Ms. Ip, Someone shining in front of me…
I took a look carefully… isn’t she Ku Hye Sun?
Talked to Ms. Ip: Mum.. that’s a Korean star (of course I didn’t expect Ms.Ip would know who she is.. haha)
Though she’s not my idol, I have watched BOF (otherwise I must not have reckoned her)
She was shopping at Duty Free shop alone~ There was no staff or fans around~ Just her
The one with a grey backpack was Ku Hye Sun!

She has shopped for quite a while… looking here & there
At last she bought a lot of chocolate

I asked for her autograph after she shopped

She was a bit surprised… but willing to… when I asked if I could take a picture… She blinked her big eyes and said politely: Cui Sung Ha Mi Da… (죄송합니다 / Sorry)
so…
so… I was being too honest… that I didn’t take the chance to sneak a pic from her front… but…please believe me!!! She really is Ku Hye Sun!!!
After she signed for me, it’s about boarding time… Just like that, we at the front and KHS at the back, proceeded to the boarding gate of Korean Airline
Thus we played a trick… took a picture like this… the one between me & Ms. Ip was Ku Hye Sun!! (I haven’t adjusted to the right mode…)

We separated after boarding on the plane~ different ways for Economy class & Business Class! Haha

News] Lee Min Ho says impossible for “City Hunter” to follow original work

Korean actor Lee Min-ho has said that he knew it would be impossible for his current TV series “City Hunter” to be the same as the comic it is based on.
He made the remark at a press conference held on the set of SBS’ new drama yesterday while responding to a reporter’s remark on how the audience thinks the show is different from its original work, a famed comic by Japanese manga artist Tsukasa Hojo.
“After reading a few episodes of ‘City Hunter,’ I told myself that there won’t be much character-wise that I’ll be able to carry over from the original comic into my character in the drama,” explained Lee, based on his experience with working on dramas based on comics including the highly popular “Boys Over Flowers.”
“So I didn’t try to differentiate them on purpose but I just tried to act out my character in the way I understood him as being and how I felt about him.”
He then added, “The same goes for the plot as well. I think it became dramatized quite a bit because it has to be adapted into a drama so things such as their pain was added in.”
“That’s why I feel that our production should be called ‘City Hunter: The Beginnings’ because you could say that all that happens now leads to what happens in the comic.”
Making it the first time for the comic to be adapted into a TV series, the Korean drama portrays Lee Yoon-sung, played by Lee Min-ho, who vows to get revenge on his father’s death by following through a plan which begins with him working at the Blue House after receiving his doctorate from MIT.
He then meets Kim Nana, played by actress Park Min-young, who is a judo athlete-turned-bodyguard at the presidential office protecting Choi Da-hye, taken on by Gu Hara, who is the youngest daughter of Korea’s President.
The show, also starring actors Lee Jun-hyuk and Hwang Sun-hee, is a collaboration by famed producer Jin Hyuk of hit dramas “Brilliant Legacy” and “Princess Prosecutor” and scenarist Hwang Eun-kyung of “New Hit” and “The President.”
The drama, just into its second episode now, has fared well so far bringing in viewership ratings in the nine to ten percent range on the Wednesday and Thursday primetime lineup while competing against MBC’s “The Greatest Love,” starring Cha Seung-won and Kong Hyo-jin, and KBS’ “Romance Town” which stars Sung Yu-ri and Jung Kyu-woon.

Goo Hara Confesses “I Like Won Bin Ajusshi More than Lee Min Ho Ajusshi”

Kara’s Goo Hara chose Won Bin over Lee Min Ho as her private tutor. At SBS’s “City Hunter” press conference that was held yesterday, Goo Hara who is playing the role of the president’s youngest daughter ‘Da Hae’ confessed “Lee Min Ho is strikingly handsome but I actually like Won Bin more.”

She added, “In real life, I call Lee Min Ho ajusshi, but I wish Won Bin ajusshi was my private tutor instead of Min Ho ajusshi.” At the press conference, she also clarified “The character Da Hae in ‘City Hunter’ is a self-centered trouble maker. However, I’m not like that in real life.”

Meanwhile, Goo Hara also expressed her gratitude to her fellow Kara members, stating “Kara members promoted ‘City Hunter’ for me through twitter when its first episode was aired.”

[News] “City Hunter” Lee Min Ho Fights With …SPOONS?!

In tonight’s episode of “City Hunter,” Lee Min Ho will show off his action skills as he officially starts his quest to bring down the “group of five.” The first and second episodes introduced the viewers to a strong multi-talented Lee Yoon Sung, who’s skilled in both martial arts and gunnery. However, SSD stated that Lee Yoon Sung will fight with a different unconventional tool in episode 3.
The filming took place on May 15th at a seafood restaurant in Seoul. Lee Min Ho sported an all-black look topped with a black hat to cover his face. Since his debut, Lee Min Ho has played various characters, ranging from the snobby yet naive Goo Jun Pyo to the clean freak, mistaken for gay, Jun Jin Ho in “Boys Before Flowers” (2009) and “Personal Taste” (2010) respectively. Despite “City Hunter” being his first action role, Lee Min Ho has been receiving praises for his vast improvement in acting and hard work.
For several months before filming for “City Hunter” even began, Lee Min Ho received formal martial arts training in Arnis and Kali, a class of Filipino martial arts that emphasize weapon-based, albeit spoon in this case, fighting.
In the scene for tonight’s episode, Lee Yoon Sung was weaponless; however, he was quick on his feet and grabbed a nearby spoon to attack his target. Actor Lee Min Ho also showed off his flexible and lean body as he flew over counters during the action sequence. Martial arts director Yang Gil Young stated, “Lee Min Ho’s at a disadvantage because of his height and long arms and legs. It’s harder to do various stunts, but he’s very light and quick on his feet. Additionally, his reactions fit the situation he’s shooting; and as a result, his action scenes do not take long to shoot.”
Lee Min Ho plays Lee Yoon Sung, a MIT PH. D. graduate who works in the Blue House National Communications Team to spy on the President and his advisors. His ultimate goal is to hunt down the “group of five” who were responsible for his biological father’s (Park Sang Min) unjust death.
“City Hunter” is a Wednesday-Thursday drama, and its third episode will be aired tonight, June 1st on SBS.
