[News] “City Hunter’s” Lee Min Ho Can Apparate like Harry Potter?!

On the most recent episode of SBS’s “One Night of TV Entertainment,” reporter Kim Hwan caught up with “City Hunter’s” location manager Min Kwang Jin to dig up some BTS stories about the popular drama.
Lee Yoon Sung’s (Lee Min Ho) luxurious home has dazzled his colleagues within the drama, as well as its viewers. Min Kwang Jin disclosed that the exterior of Yoon Sung’s home and the garage was shot in Hannamdong, Seoul, the lobby in Ilsan, Kyeonggido, and the interior at SBS’s Studio in Tanhyun Productions Center in Paju, Kyeonggido. He humorously stated, “Yoon Sung must be exhausted moving back and forth in his house.” The distance from his garage to the interior of his home is a whopping 38.48 km! Lee Min Ho wittily added, “I feel like dying!”
The automatic bookshelf/divider in Yoon Sung’s bedroom has garnered a lot of attention for its modern, hi-tech appeal. However, Lee Min Ho smiled as he revealed, “There’s a person to the left, outside of the frame.” The state-of-the-art door ended up being a 100% manually controlled prop.
Lee Jin Pyo’s (Kim Sang Joong) unique and spacious home has also amazed fans. The luxurious home that overlooks the Han River ended up being a lookout point/free concert venue under the Kwangjin Bridge. Filming was especially difficult because of the structure of the venue. Because the location is situated right under the middle of the bridge, there were no areas to park and unload. The location manager stated, “We literally had to go back and forth to drop off the cast, crew, and equipment.” The elevator Yoon Sung took to get to his father’s home was located in Ilsan, Kyeonggido – 44.13 km away from the home’s “living room.” Reporter Kim Hwan amusingly pointed out that the distance was longer than a marathon course. Looks like Lee Min Ho studied the art of apparition, along with martial arts and gunnery!
