Lee Min Ho fans in Japan will be able to catch him and his drama City Hunter once more.
Lee Min Ho’s City Hunter already previously aired on Japan’s Fuji TV in February under the title City Hunter in Seoul. And now, due to its high popularity, the drama will air once more on Fuji TV’s satellite channel, BS Fuji beginning on May 29.
Ahead of its re-airing on BS Fuji, large-scale promotions have been implemented. These include large promotional trucks, billboards and video screens playing scenes from the drama.
Already, City Hunter’s DVD rentals are showing explosive popularity with its DVDs taking up the first through fourth place ranks of Japan’s largest music and video sales and rental chain, Tsutaya. In addition, Lee Min Ho’s fan meeting DVD was first on Amazon.com’s star ranking from February to May and first place on Rakuten.
Regarding City Hunter’s re-airing, a source said, “From Fuji TV, its satellites and in various regions, the relay broadcasting of City Hunter is helping to continue interest in Lee Min Ho. Lee Min Ho is currently preparing for his new drama, which will begin this month, and has already completed the script reading and is being trained in horseback riding and martial arts.”
